A more rearward-facing wheel elevation curve reduces speed penalty on big obstacles. A low-slung, forward-facing shock keeps the bike feeling snug and secure at high speeds. The chassis’ balanced stiffness also helps generate precise steering response and tracking stability. Add it all up and you have a bike that always stays in control, even on the steepest and rockiest trails.

When you pedal, the Enduro accelerates much faster than you would expect from a downhill behemoth. Where does that come from? First, Specialized has increased the anti-squat value, so the chassis resists drivetrain influences better. Second, the chainstay angle and linkage at the top of the shock have been realigned to increase efficiency. The end result? Less bobbing, more speed.
